Our founders are Shawn Sayle, Thomas Brand, and Richard Carney. Over 100 years of combined General Aviation experience and multiple significant accomplishments including the complete restoration of the Ryan number II built “Spirit of St. Louis” currently hanging in Missouri’s History Museum in St. Louis.
Thomas and Rich share centuries of work with Turbine engine repair and maintenance. Thomas and Richard with the former Airwork Corp. and then Thomas with Dallas Airmotive which still exist today and still contract the services of SRT to assist their team. Their primary expertise are working with the all popular P&W PT6 and JT15 lines.
Shawn has been also been affiliated with some Turbine engine work and has concentrated his efforts withe Honeywell TFE731 and TPE331 line. This wide range of contrast works very well together to cover much of the line in use today. Shawn is currently Chief Inspector, Diretor of Maintenance and Vice President of SRT.
Shawn and Thomas have worked together for over 18 years in other facets of the industry including Dope and Fabric, Sheetmetal, engine maintenance and overhaul, avionics, interior, modifications, and  antique aircraft restorations.
This is team elected to put their skills together in Mount Vernon and have successfully put together over 8 years of service in a very tough economy and even tougher state of Illinois. We have grown to having over 12 employees and look to grow even larger in the upcoming years.
Richard will be moving toward his retirement in the not so distant future, however, staying on as a consultant to all operations including the ever growing light sport market.
